AUROSIL PLUS (polydimethylsiloxane 5000 cSt) is a highly purified, long-chain polydimethylsiloxane terminated silicone oil designed for prolonged tamponade after surgical treatment for severe retinal detachment. This premium high-viscosity formulation provides maximum tamponade stability with superior resistance to emulsification, making it the gold standard choice for the most complex vitreoretinal cases requiring extended internal tamponade support.

INDICATIONS:

AUROSIL PLUS is indicated for use as a prolonged retinal tamponade in selected cases of complicated retinal detachments such as:

• Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy (PVR)
• Traumatic Retinopathy
• Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (PDR)
• Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis
• Giant Tears
• Primary use in AIDS-related CMV retinitis
• Other viral infections affecting the retina
