- X-nit is a disposable medical device used in Scleral fixation IOL surgery to simplify the exteriorization of IOL haptics and minimize trauma. The device features an angled needle for hassle-free use, along with specially designed scleral markers at 1.5mm and 4mm to help calculate sclerotomy distance and intrascleral tunnel length.
- A double protection silicone stopper prevents haptic rebound after exteriorization and ensures reliable haptic penetration. X-nit is highly beneficial for both anterior segment surgeons and beginners, as it reduces the need for an assistant, minimizes the risk of wound leakage, and eliminates the need for grasping forceps, thus reducing the risk of haptic damage.
- This sutureless intrascleral fixation device also removes the need for a large sclerotomy port, making the procedure less invasive. It comes with a safety cap to protect the needle tip.
